The Basics of Energy Work
Like many complimentary healing practices, engery work has both a physical and spiritual component.
THE PHYSICAL . Remember learning about the brain and nervous system in grade school? How nerve cells transferred electrical signals, carrying messages from our brain to the rest our body? Did you learn about magnetic north while a teacher demonstrated the power of earth's magnetic fields with a compass? Or discover the power of the moon and its influence upon the oceans' tides? Energy healing works because we are all walking, talking, and dancing through fields of energy.
As you read this page, energy is flowing through your body. Neurons are firing, allowing you to read by sending signals from your optic nerve to your brain, and creating emotions like curiosity or skepticism. Energy is pulsing from the computer in front of you, while the earth turns and waves crash upon a shore. As an energy healer, I have studied, learned and practiced how to influence energy fields...my own and those around me.
If you have ailments or discomfort, I may be able to offer relief by influencing the flow of essential energy in your being and in the creatures, land and environment that surrounds you. The ability to heal through the shifting and movement of energy can sound a bit far-fetched to those who are new to the concept, but there is extensive research on the subject. THE SPIRITUAL . It's not just your physical self that is influenced by energy; one's spiritual nature can also be powerfully influenced by the energy we produce and the energy of all that surrounds us in our day-to-day lives. No matter what your faith or spiritual nature, you can probably recall an experience where you experienced powerful emotions...joy, sadness, pain...in reaction to an unknown or unexplainable force.
Energy healing can shift deeply rooted patterns of flowing energy. Emotional healing is often challenging work to undertake, but it can be the most rewarding for both client and healer.
